The man behind the brand

For Joe Tutt, farming is memory put back into the soil.

Known to customers as Joe Collards, Joe is a Fort Worth accountant and farmer whose connection to the land began beside his grandmother, Beaulah Nelson, in Louisiana.

Today, he tends a vast Central Texas farm where cattle share the landscape with heirloom collards, mustards, turnips and sweet yellow and red-meat watermelons. His work carries family knowledge forward while helping make fresh food more visible and accessible in North Texas.
